Disney’s Memory Maker is an easy way to get fantastic photos of your entire family. A photographer will take a picture of your group (or just the children, just the adults, etc. – you can dictate the picture), scan your MagicBand and the pictures will appear on your MyDisneyExperience account for downloading. You will be able to edit the pictures and add fun Disney themed borders.
There are photographers throughout the theme parks, including the water parks (May-September), and even sometimes at the resorts. They are always located in front of the park’s giant icon (like Cinderella’s Castle), at most character meet & greets, and in other busy areas of the park. Sometimes they will create a “magic shot” where they include a Disney character in the finished product (you will see it online), or they will have you do a fun pose. You can also request these “magic shots”. In addition you will digitally receive your ride photos, and pictures at select dining locations like ‘Ohana, or Chef Mickey’s. There is NO limit to how many pictures you can have taken.
If you purchase Memory Maker at least 4-days prior to your arrival at Walt Disney World the price is currently $149. This can be added right to your reservation. If you decide to purchase it after you have arrived, the cost will be $169.
A few things to keep in mind:
- You can always ask the photographers to take a picture of your family with your own camera — at no charge.
- You do obtain rights to the pictures to reproduce/print them for personal use.
- The purchase is non-refundable.
- The pictures will only be in your account for 30 days after the day they are taken, so you do have a limited amount of time to edit and download your pictures.
